The worst mistake in life and art is to be unauthentic. I strive to always be myself and be proud of the images I create.
I am a portrait photographer based in Atlanta, Ga specializing in creating photo content for advertising, corporate and editorial clients. I hold a degree in photography from The University of North Georgia where I was honored to receive the first ever National Senior Achievement Award from the late Paul R. Jones. In life's journey, Paul R. Jones amassed one of the world's largest African American art collections with over 2,000 pieces and I am humbled and forever grateful to him for acknowledging my talent and giving me the confidence as a young student to continue on my path as an artist after graduation.
Images can tell you so much about a photographer. We constantly make choices on how to control an environment whether it's on set or location. Photographers use math, science and creativity to bend and manipulate light as we see fit. It's definitely a challenge to have to explain so much about a subject in a single shot. In turn its almost impossible not to reveal something about ourselves in the process.
Moments, whether or not artists are aware, are what we all chase. My images are an accumulation of moments in my life, either manufactured or organic, that I have frozen in time with my camera and decided to share with the audience.
I hope that the images you see in this gallery create a moment within yourself. That they encourage you to want to create new moments with me.
